Artist Brian Feldman:
"The fact that there isn't really anything "for" Leap Year Day, event-wise, was an intriguing blank slate for me as an artist. I hope people will consider time, how they spend it, how they spend a day, specifically this extra day, this extra opportunity to make a change in their lives thanks to a quirk of the Gregorian calendar. Also, The dearth of public art, especially performance art, lends itself to an unknowing ambivalence about the art form. As such, this piece is my personal attempt at jump starting, no pun intended, more opportunities for like-minded artists..."
Complimentary "Leap Year Day" programs and buttons will be handed out.
