Twitter
Use the #orlandofringe09 for fringe-related tweets and for #fringedrama09 for fringe drama tweets. Below are the twitter accounts that are a must-follow to stay up-to-date with Fringe news/gossip/press releases:

@thedailycity- All the scathing, rotten gossip I can find (which is never much) and of course photos and links and videos I make while I am out there scavenging for content.

@orlandofringe- The official one. I set it up in 2007 for them and now @brianfeldman is running it for 2009. Funny guy and good person to run the account.

@BethFringe- She is the festival's producer.

@emaupin- The Sentinel theatre reviewer. Mostly posts links to her reviews, which are helpful.

@bloggingfringe- This is run by @liberatr, but he has the account on auto-pilot, auto-re-tweeting any tweet in the twitter-verse that has the word "fringe" in it.

The best way to find out what shows rock and which suck is through word of mouth. Now take that and put it online with Fringe patron reviews:

Vendors at the Festival
Every year its the same old thing: soul food, loud music from the hot dog van and free popcorn samples in paper cups. Bleh. This year, we review some new additions to the Vendor roster. Read the reviews.

Tips from a 4-year veteran (Me):
1. There are over 60 shows. The best way to choose which shows to attend (and avoid) is to pay attention to word of mouth.

2. Fringe is expensive. Tickets cost up to $10 per show PLUS a $1 surcharge per ticket. Plan on spending around $100+/-.

3. Buy tickets in three places:
-online
-Orlando Shakespeare Theatre ticket booth
-Orlando Rep ticket booth

4. You must buy one $8 button: To see any show, you must have on your person the official Orlando Fringe button. It costs $8 and is only available at the festival at the ticket booth and the information desk. They will not let you into shows without this button, even if you have waited in line with a paid ticket.

5. No late entrance. If you are late to a show, they will not let you in. Even if you bought a ticket.

6. Parking is a big fat nasty hassle. Arrive early.
