Want to (1) pay to (2) work for free to (3) create a collection of art (4) a museum will charge money for patrons to view and that (5) you cannot sell while part of the collection? Then grab your pencils and head on to Jacksonville's Museum of Contemporary Art July 11th at 11pm.

Pay $25, draw till 7am, then return Sunday to view your work curated by the museum into a collection on display until August 1st. This collection is only viewable to patrons with paid admission. (Free admission Wednesday nights 5-9pm or Sundays all day if under 18 and accompanied by parent) The artists do not receive a portion of the monies from admission despite their work being in a part of the museum patrons must pay to see, nor can they sell their own work to these patrons. Yet the artists pay the museum $25.

So let's recap. The artists PAY to create the artwork, are unable to sell it, and the museum can charge money for admission that includes this collection.

Am I missing something or does this event plain suck?
