The fundraising numbers are in from the benefit concerts July 23-25 put on by Encore!, a 200-member choir and 80-piece orchestra made up of Disney volunteer Cast Members. They raised a record $25,940 for United Arts of Central Florida!

Wow!

“Definitely, it’s amazing for us that we exceeded our goal and set a record,” said Encore! producer and co-founder Ray Fournier.

Encore! gives Cast a chance to showcase their skills and perform great music while raising funds for local charities. Beneficiaries are determined by group vote, and this year, they chose United Arts of Central Florida.

United Arts President and CEO Margot H. Knight: “It’s a perfect pairing. So many Disney Cast Members are involved on the local cultural non-profit scene both onstage and behind the scenes. The creativity of Disney fuels our cultural community to a large extent.”

United Arts of Central Florida is a non-profit organization that works to enhance and improve the quality and variety of cultural experiences available in Lake, Orange , Osceola and Seminole counties.

Since its inception in 2002, Encore! has raised more than $85,000 for local charities.
