On August 4, SAK Comedy Lab joins forces with several Orlando actors & theme park entertainers to present A Night of 1001 Laughs: The Healing Power of Laughter. The show is a benefit for Peni Lotoza and Christian Kelty, two longtime members of the Central Florida theater community.

Peni Lotoza was diagnosed with lung cancer in late March and a week later had one of her lungs removed. 100% of the money raised at the benefit will go to help with the couple's medical expenses.

Christian Kelty, an original member of SAK Comedy Lab's Next Generation cast, will perform in the show along with current SAK favorites and familiar faces from other area theaters and theme parks. There will also be raffle prizes generously donated by Blue Man Group, Orlando Broadway Series, Orlando Fringe Festival, Theatre Downtown, Toxic Audio and others.

The event begins at 7pm with mixing and mingling, and the show starts at 8pm. The SAK Comedy Lab is located at 380 W. Amelia Street in the Centroplex II Parking Garage, downtown near the Amway Arena.
