Chitty Chitty No Show

I wish the reason the cast of the national tour of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang skipped their own opening night party was dramatic and full of scandal. Like, they read Elizabeth Maupin's bang bang review and issued a refusal-to-attend email. Or the chorus of unpaid underage locals didn't do a good job, so the cast kicked them out of the theatre and went to Bennigans for happy hour. But no. No drama. Just one press rep who forgot to tell the cast about the party, which left Orlando Broadway Series patrons and employees eating and drinking with themselves.
