JOB: Contracted Sales Director for Orlando Arts Getaways

Job Description: Contracted Sales Director
Status: Contracted Position
Reports to: Executive Director

Summary: This position is responsible for sales and management for the Orlando Arts Getaways (OAG) program, managed by the Alliance. General responsibilities include: Development and sales of packages through the program, extensive computer responsibilities (including Microsoft Office Suite), multitasking, developing and refining relationships with arts and cultural organizations, local hotel/restaurants and group sales contacts.

Responsibilities:

* Manage and account for the entire OAG package product and all of its various components;
* Sell directly to tour operators, meeting planners, group leaders, associations and all potential business markets with relationship to group sales;
* Primary contact for the relationship with the Orlando CVB and its various directors for each departmental discipline to maximize reach, visibility and sales in all areas of opportunity;
* Represent the OAG project at community functions and meetings;
* Primary contact for all of the hotels/restaurants and arts organizations with relationship to contract and price negotiation;
* Create and approve all packages for web site and group sales;
* Work with the Executive Director to utilize the OAG budget most effectively;
* Help set and meet the sales goals for the department;
* Perform additional duties as deemed appropriate.

Job Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four year college or university and a minimum of 3-5 years experience in sales and marketing for conventions or arts and cultural organizations, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
* Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, members or employees of the organization.
* Ability to take direction and establish ownership of projects.
* Ability to identify areas of opportunity and problem solve as needed to best support the OAG program and the Alliance's mission.
* Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office Suite as well as HTML.
