Launching Downtown Orlando’s Newest Movie Theater

Today at noon two PR folks are giving a talk about the brand new Plaza Cinema Cafe called "Launching Downtown Orlando’s Newest Movie Theater" Cost: $35 talk (Students: $15)

"Like the hit movies you see on the big screen, the making and launch of a seriously unique movie theater requires intense time, strategy, coordination and production, as well as multiple lead roles and actors – all leading up to the big day!

For Downtown Orlando, the newest rising star on the entertainment scene is the now-open Plaza Cinema Café, a 12-screen contemporary movie theater like no other in the region. As the renaissance of Downtown Orlando continues to forever change the face of the city, The Plaza – the largest mixed use development in downtown’s history -- plays a lead role. Now enter this ultra unique theater – and, well, you’ve got a blockbuster on your hands. A dinner and a movie concept reinvented!

Join us on June 25 to hear from the director of this star-studded production, Kim Ellis, director of Leasing for RP Realty Partners -- the real estate investment firm that owns about 500,000 square feet of retail and parking space at The Plaza, including the Plaza Cinema Café. Joining her is one of the line producers, Jackie Kelvington, APR, president of Kelvington Consulting Group – which managed the media relations for the launch. Together, they’ll talk about the 6 P’s of the launch (planning, promotions, publicity, partners, party and payoff). And no type of launch is without its set of challenges, so they’ll talk through those as well."
