National Slam Champion Mike McGee has been added to the roster of performers at The Showdown in O-Town July 23, 2009. Who the hell is he? He's been in Def Jam Poetry, has a book out through Write Bloody Press, tours constantly nationally and internationally and is doing a gig at UCF he day before TSDIOT. Oh and he is the only person to win the individual National Poetry Slam title AND the individual World Poetry Slam title. One more reason to catch the spoken word event of the year. $5 admission.
