"It Might Get Loud," a documentary film about The Edge, Jimmy Paige and Jack White staring The Edge, Jimmy Paige and Jack White opens this weekend at the Enzian. (Tickets) I got to see it a month ago and damn, its good. I am not a music fan (my idea of music is "Single Ladies" and "Obsessed," and to people who like White, The Edge and Paige, I know this is not considered music), and I even had a fun time.
This film is an interview with three successful musicians talking about guitars, their road to fame and more guitars. If you like these three musicians, there's no reason to not see the film. Its good.
One thing I found interesting, coming from a non-musical background: these single ladies are OBSESSED with guitars. The Edge has like 30 guitars prepped and ready to go at each live concert, each one tuned and set to be played during a specific song. The other two could not stop talking about them or playing them. And to hear how hard they worked to master the instrument... it made me feel lazy.
