We were lucky enough to catch Jozie's first purchase and her first performance art piece called "Toys R Jozie" held January 9, 2010 at the Toys R Us near Fashion Square Mall. Organized by her father, TheDailyCity.com's Dan Ginader, the performance piece required Jozie to buy whatever she wanted under $15 and required her mother, father and guests to not influence her purchases. We followed her around the store:
Jozie and family arrive
Programs are handed out and the shopping begins
Shopping
he $75 dinosaur will have to wait.
One of many swaps
Dan gives a preview of performances to come
The final selection: "Jungle in My Pocket" and a green ball.
Jozie is prevented from completing her very first purchase due to the green ball needing a price check.
The 10" balls are $1.79 and Jozie is asked if she needs any batteries by the store employee.
Jozie completes her purchase (her first EVER!) and receives 32 cents in change.
Jozie signs her program for a fan
Our reward for staying till the very end is an official Toys R Josie yoyo.
