Here's the latest update on Morris's Market and our effort to help them out:
The good news:
We spoke with the owners Sunday and they informed us on Friday January 15, 2010, they had their best Friday *ever* since opening June 2009. And according to the feedback the owners received from the shoppers that day, the owners attribute it 100% to this blog's readers. Also, they got a great write up on the Florida Agriculture blog and got their chili cook off eventonto the foodie website Yelp.
The better news:
Morris's Market will continue to sell their local and freshly-harvested wares at the following farmers markets:
Though they had a fab Friday, the shop is closing permanently tomorrow, Saturday January 23, 2010 at 6:30pm. SO SAD! All dry goods are being sold at cost. All meat is 20% off. Spend $50.00 and receive a additional 10% off. Address: 120 N. 4th Street in Lake Mary, FL.
What next?
There are plans they have in the works I'll know more about as we move forward with them. For now,
