Fall in love with artists' love of furniture

The "Fall in Furniture Love" art event is 60 pieces shown inside the Orlando location of Scan Design (4045 South Kirkman Road | Orlando, FL 32811 | 407.992.7777) with music, hors d’ oeuvres and wine held on Thursday, March 11th, 2010, 6-9pm.

About: Scan Design and other art enthusiasts will gather as they unveil the entries in the third annual “Fall in Furniture Love” Art Contest. This year’s gathering is poised to surpass last year’s event with over sixty entries being submitted from both the Altamonte Springs location on Douglas and the Kirkman Rd. locations. Entries are all very creative and unique and have been inspired by the love of furniture.

The event is open to the public. Guests will enjoy custom works of art created exclusively for this event as well other select pieces from Orlando galleries. Guest can also participate in creating a work of art during the event by joining a local artist create a painting and for those who are not artistically inclined they will be able to watch in amazement as Chef Scott from Creative Catering creates an edible sculpture.

Several Galleries in the Orlando area have teamed up with Scan Design to bring different genres of the art world to the “Fall in Furniture Love Art Event.” Dr. Shelley Lake will exhibit several works from her gallery in Winter Park. Each piece is a result of her experiments with high resolution digital cameras in combination with large format archival printers, producing artworks which awe and inspire. Christine Demas with Millennia Fine Art will be on hand exhibiting “Sinatra on Pool Table” an oversized photo taken by the Iconic world renowned photographer to the Royal Family, World Dignitaries and Celebrities, Terry O’Neil. Millennia Fine Art is on Lake Destiny in Orlando, a contemporary fine arts gallery that specializes in one of a kind artist works including glass sculptures, photographs, and original art pieces.

Brad Biggs of Creative Spirit Art Gallery will showcase works of art from various shows and festivals happening in the Orlando Area. German Lemas will exhibit his painting which was the inspiration for the 2010 Baldwin Park Art Festival Poster as he illustrates his style of painting live during the evening. Brad will also present the artist, Carol Thorton a representative of the Emmons Cottage Gallery and its show “Impressions on the Wind” which opens March 12, 2010.
