The Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra salutes Leonard Bernstein in concert Saturday, April 3, 2010, with a matinee performance at 2:00 PM and an evening performance at 8:00 PM at the Bob Carr performing Arts Centre (401 W. Livingston Street, Orlando).
Principal Pops Conductor Andrew Lane (listen to interview) leads the orchestra in some of Bernstein's all-time greatest hits. Audiences will enjoy selections from West Side Story including Maria and Somewhere; in addition to Three Dance Episodes from On the Town, Glitter and be Gay from Candide, Simple Song from Mass and more. Soprano Angela Mortellaro and tenor Fernando Varela join the Philharmonic to perform hits including Rumble and The Balcony Scene and One Hand One Heart from West Side Story in addition to other beloved melodies.
