United Arts of Central Florida 2010 Professional Development Grant Recipients

United Arts of Central Florida awarded $33,025 to 37 artists and arts administrators selected as recipients of its 2010 Professional Development Grants. The goal of these awards is to strengthen artistic excellence and management expertise among emerging or established artists and arts administrators in Central Florida. United Arts received 50 eligible applications with requests totaling $45,088 to the grant program, now in its eighth year. Since the inception of the program in 2003, United Arts has awarded a total of $248,723 in professional development support.

Individual artist applicants may request up to $1,000 and arts administrator applicants up to $500. Applications were received in the categories of Sculpture, Painting, Photography, Ceramics, Mixed Media, Playwriting, Creative Nonfiction, Theater, Dance, Film, and Arts Administration. Also attached are work samples and corresponding artist identification from selected grantees. Additional samples are available upon request.
