International Sunflower Guerilla Gardening Day 2010

On May 1, 2010 guerrilla gardeners around the world sow sunflowers all over the place. 2010 is the fourth "International Sunflower Guerrilla Gardening Day"and this time it's on a Saturday. Make a plan for May 1 to head out to a patch of public land, or make a walk of it. Post your ideas on the wall of this event, on the local community pages of GuerrillaGardening.org and spread the word to friends and other guerrilla gardeners. Also sign up to the GuerrillaGardening.org Facebook group.

All you need are the seeds, something to poke a hole 2cm in the ground and a bit of imagination. Tips are available. This day was launched by The Brussels' Farmers in 2007 and is championed by GuerrillaGardening.org. (At this time of the year sunflowers are of course best suited for planting in the Northern Hemisphere, so if you're down south go for something different or do this in November.)
