11am was a great time to hit the second week of Stardust Coffee & Film's new Subversive Sundays (Sundays 10-2pm) with Mammatelli (my Mom) in still-sleepy Audubon Park. The place was not crowded but you could tell once noon hit that it would be. We got our food and left as a large crowd was forming. According to one of the two organizers of this brunch (see video below), the first week alone brought in over sixty brunchers eager to snack down on breakfast burritos, early-mornning ham & cheese sandwiches, and a handful of sides like breakfast potatoes, bacon, sausage and more.
I had the breakfast burrito with a side of bacon and Mammatelli had the breakfast sammich with the funny name I forget and a side of breakfast potatoes. we liked everything we had.
The main dishes are $8 and the sides are $2. Mimosas are $3 and coffee is standard price. If they continue the Subversive Brunch, its going to be a hit.
