TheDailyCity.com Audience Choice Awards allows the audiences at the 2010 Orlando Fringe Festival vote for their favorite shows and bring acknowledgement to quality work. The winners receive an award and a piece of art created by a local artist. All 29 awards and all 29 pieces of art were be on display April 15 at TheDailyCity.com Mobile Art Show in downtown Orlando, May 20-30 at the festival in the Orlando Shakespeare Lobby for the duration of the festival and were handed out in a live ceremony May 30, 2010 on The Green at the festival.
Each year the 27 pieces of art are curated by a volunteer. This volunteer is responsible for choosing the participating artists and collecting the art from them. In 2010 it is Jeremy Seghers. In 2009 it was Jessica Earley. We are extremely grateful for the work the curators do and for the art the artists provide. We do everything we can to show the artists' work off by showing them online on this blog, at April's downtown Mobile Art Show, in the Orlando Shakespeare Theatre lobby for the duration of Fringe, and at the awards ceremony May 30.
