Crafty Crafting Events in Orlando

Homespun Chic Marketplace
The First Annual Homespun Chic Marketplace will take place on Sunday, August 8, 2010 from 2:30pm to 6pm at the Winter Park Farmer’s Market located (one of our choice venue rentals!) at 200 West New England Avenue in Downtown Winter Park. Free parking. See the event on Yelp. The event will feature 19 local female artisans, selling postcards to plush; children’s clothing to chic jewelry, and everything in between.

Rebecca Wilding, event creator and coordinator: "I created the Homepsun Chic Marketplace, because the typical craft show just wasn’t working for me for multiple reasons. After talking with some fellow mom-entrepreneurs, I quickly realized I was not the only one and that the typical craft show was not working for them either. I decided to take matters into my own hands and create a tailored event—indoors, away from the relentless sun of the Florida summer, and featuring the leading artisans in the area. It was important to me to offer other woman-based businesses a platform from which to showcase their talent and sell their craft. I’m really looking forward to this event. It will be fun and something Central Floridians really haven’t seen before!”

Pinklight Bazaar
"Get your girlie on" at Pinklight Bazaar, a reoccurring female-powered event created to support & raise awareness about the breakthrough arts & crafting community in Orlando and beyond.

Pinklight Bazaar just thinks that there needs to be more girly events in Orlando. More pink. More glitter. More polka dots. More pink champagne. More girl love/bonding. What is up with all this catty bullshit between ladies? Chill and EAT CUPCAKES.

Although PLB is geared towards ladies, gentlemen are more than welcome to attend AFTER the ladies happy hour (which happens the first hour of each event), though they must be very comfortable with their sexuality and embrace the color pink.

Grandma Party
Over 40 local arts and crafters, musicians and independent businesses transform the parking lot in front of Stardust Video and Coffee into a DIY extravaganza at the Grandma Party Bazaar. The event features work from local fashion designers, bookbinders, painters, knitters, silversmiths, vintage dealers, bakers and print makers, as well as live art, custom songs written and recorded while you wait and more! WPRK 91.5 FM presents live music throughout the day.
