In order to promote literacy in Orlando this summer, Barnie’s Coffee & Tea Company has teamed up with Page15, the local nonprofit literacy arts organization, for the second consecutive year. The coffee company is hosting a book drive all through the month of August. Customers can receive a free cup of coffee in exchange for the donation of a new or gently used children’s book. The books will be distributed to children throughout Downtown Orlando later this summer.
Page15 is a wonderful program that continues to offer reading and writing workshops for children. The book drive is a great way to help local children, and get something for yourself at the same time.
Participation locations are: Park Avenue, Baldwin Park, Waterford Lakes, Avalon Park, Altamonte Mall and Philips Crossing.
