I shared earlier that one of our live events, TheDailyCity.com Mobile Art Show, got listed as one of the official galleries of the Third Thursdays Gallery Hop in the May 20-26 edition of the Orlando Weekly.
Here's some more fun news: we are now listed in the Official Downtown Orlando Guide, a thick brochure for tourists and locals created by the Downtown Development Board! In the listing of "Third Thursday Gallery Hop Participants" right in the center the guide on the guide map, there we are! #74!
This is cool for the city to do because its an "art show in a UHaul" and yet they don't snub their noses at it: they list it right along with Orlando City Hall, Kush, Mother Falcon, Blank Space and others.
So cool. This Mobile Art Show event was something I tried in 2009 as a lark and here we are, over a year later, on a city map. Thank you City of Orlando and the Downtown Development Board! And an even bigger thank you to the featured artists and the event coordinators over the past year who helped put it on.
