For those of you that have always wanted to combine your love of animals, your inner design professional, and your fascination with all things bottled and canned, you now have your opportunity. Canstruction Orlando is teaming up with the Central Florida Zoo this year for the annual event (held here since 1994) that benefits the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida.
“Zoo CAN Do It” registration is now open and teams have until early October to submit their animal design details and sketches. You can still participate if you are an individual without a team (via firm, school group, church, etc.) by contacting the Canstruction Orlando coordinators, who will help set you up with a group.
Individuals not able to participate can still help out a great cause by providing canned goods to a competing team, donating a dollar at the zoo to help build the can zoo logo, or simply contribute time or resources directly to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida.
If nothing else be sure to check out the exhibition of entries at the Orlando Fashion Square Mall from October 17th to the 24th and vote for your favorite creature creation!
