Each year, the Business Committee for the Arts recognizes ten companies and one executive for their exceptional commitment to the arts in the United States. This year, that executive is from Orlando: Clarence Otis, Jr., chairman and chief executive officer of Darden Restaurants. His name was brought to the committee's attention by United Arts of Central Florida. The awards will be presented November 4, 2010 at a black-tie gala at the Central Park Boathouse in New York City. Business and arts leaders from throughout the country are slated to attend the ceremony.
