Local Orlando Indie Media Meetup

There's a meetup thats taken place the past couple months I'm a part of that I'd like to recommend. Its a tiny gathering of about five or so (depending on the month)  locals who have blogs and web shows specifically about the city of Orlando. Its not a big organized deal, nor is it an attempt to become anything big or take the place of current local webby/geeky events. Its just a boozy (or not if you wish) hour or so casual chit chat with those of us who are on the outskirts of media, getting paid little (or nothing), but soldier on making stuff online about Orlando because we love it.

Current attendees include:
Bess from Central Florida Top Five
Peter from Orlando Live
Ashley and Kim from Pulse of Central Florida
Cole from Uncover the Color
It started a couple months ago when I tweeted the idea publicly to a few people I knew might be interested. They all said yes (to my relief). We met at Enzian Theatre outside beneath the lovely stylishly-lit oaks at their outside bar and just yacked. I didn't really have an agenda other than to get my drink on and start an in-person convo about what we were all doing and planning on doing. We've met a couple times since and we've got a December one planned early so's not to conflict with any later holiday plans.
