The Arte Faire at Will's Pub Wednesday December 7, 2010, was a fun small affair that afforded those in attendance dibs on affordable, adorable art and gifts, just in time for the holidays. Attendees could sip wine and beer while strolling around two rooms of merch ranging from oil paintings to Toy Stoy-esque scary toys. I struck up conversations with almost all the artists thanks to the $4.50 glass of wine I guzzled prior. Everyone was in good spirits, talking about their upcoming shows, past successes and their favorite piece in their collection. Also in attendance was Jana Waring and her boyfriend, who I sat with for about an hour gabbing about Orlando, PR and blogging.
C'mon. How can you lose with a $15 monkey with a chicken in a death grip?
A close-up shot of the table put together by the person who put together Arte Faire. She also curates for Sip on Virginia Ave as well.
Again, how can you lose with a baby doll head painted blood red, topped with antlers and shoved onto a mismatched plastic zuit-suited body?
I have so many people I could buy this for, as do you.
Vintage had a presence as well. Heels, handbags and more.
Great oil paintings and sketches from an artist originally from the South West. She's getting out of traditional oil painting and getting into more of the crazy stuff. Watch out for her. If only could remember her name!
