Amway Arena Items Up For Auction

On behalf of the NBA's Orlando Magic and the City of Orlando, a public auction will be held for the contents of the old Amway Arena (600 West Amelia Street) on Saturday, February 12 at 10 a.m. It will be open on Friday, February 11, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for a public preview. The auction will be staged via live webcast  and on location at Amway Arena.

Up for grabs are "thousands of sports memorabilia items including the scoreboard, lockers, autographed photographs and arena seats" as well as restaurant equipment, concession stands, nightclub furnishings, flat screen televisions and electronics and official game jerseys from players like Bo Outlaw and Patrick Ewing. In addition, many items from inside the Magic’s locker room will be available for auction, such as framed and laminated photos, Orlando Magic player lockers, a white dry-erase board with the statistics from the 2010 NBA Playoffs, locker room carpet flooring, exercise equipment from the training area and much more.

A portion of the proceeds from the sale will benefit the Orlando Magic Youth Foundation. All items will be sold as is, where is, no warranties expressed or implied. At a later date, Heritage Global Partners will hold an auction to sell the infrastructure equipment used to support the sports and entertainment arena, such as air compressors, concert lighting equipment, security cameras, phone systems and more.
