TheDailyCity.com owner Mark Baratelli has fallen in love with an eyeless cat named Smokey (official page) and wants someone in Orlando to adopt him so badly, he's putting up fifty bucks of his blog's own money to go to Orange County Animal Services as soon as someone steps up and adopts Smokey the Eyeless Cat.

Smokey (A195894) is a blind 6 year old male tabby. He actually doesn't even have eyes. But don't tell him...he's super friendly, sweet and loves attention. The vet says he's probably been like this his whole life.

If you'd like to adopt Smokey, visit Orange County Animal Services at 2769 Conroy Rd., Orlando, FL or call them at (407)254-9140.

Mark Baratelli, Creator & Producer of the Audience Choice Awards (now in its 3rd year at this year's Fringe Festival!), the 2nd Annual Orlando Improv Festival, and the monthly downtown Mobile Art Show, is not a rich guy. (Have you seen his car?) But as soon as he saw the photo of this eyeless cat, his heart melted. He already has a cat of his own, so he cannot adopt him. Otherwise he would. So he, on behalf of TheDailyCity.com, will donate fifty dollars to Orange County Animal Services if someone adopts Smokey. Email him proof that you adopted Smokey, or get OCAS to do so, and he will hand-deliver OCAS the fifty dollar check. Send your proof to: markbaratelli AT gmail DOT com

Baratelli also invites anyone who wishes to put up more money to please step up and do so. If you would like to add to the fifty dollars Mark is putting up, email him so he can add this info to the official post about Smokey. The more money promised, the more chance this furry eyeless cute furball has a chance of adoption.
