The biennial celebration of Pablo Valbuena's installation N27057'00" W82027'41 light display is the (literal) highlight of the downtown Tampa event Lights on Tampa, where for free, folks can "experience new media art at your own pace." The event is Saturday February 19, 2011, 5:30-11:00pm in Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park and not only includes the Valbuena installation, but participatory Shadow Plays, the unveiling of the first Portal (digital gateway through the arts) along the Tampa Riverwalk and engaging fun and festivities for all ages. The event site has a great Plan Your Trip page for out of towners.
