We will be covering this year's "
Special Olympics Rocks!" fundraiser at Gaylord Palms Saturday, February 19, 2011 6:30-11:00pm. This is not your typical stuffy fundraiser: wear your best party/rock chic attire and enjoy Guitar Hero competitions, open mojito bar, "fabulous fare," a live concert by
Rico Monaco and the Sol Sons and more. However, the real stars of this event are the nearly 40 Special Olympics athletes who will share their stories of inspiration.
Now in its eighth year, the 2010 Special Olympics Rocks! seeks to break the $1 million dollar mark in gifts of support. Live and silent auctions throughout the night will offer a bevy of prize items to benefit this worthy cause. Individual tickets are $250 per person and table sponsorships are available. Parking is complimentary parking for all guests.
