Meditation in the Gardens:
An exercise in physical and emotional flexibility.
Mental health counselor and fitness instructor, Teri Reuter will guide you through 60-minute sessions, combining strengthening stretch and guided meditation in our beautiful Polasek Gardens. You will experience how to use your breathing and your body movements to gain physical and emotional flexibility. The sessions will help you realize how these movements and techniques can be included in your daily lives to promote balanced living and to reduce stress and anxiety. During each of the six sessions, Teri will lead the group in stretching, focused breathing, and guided meditation. All classes will be held rain or shine. Wear comfortable clothing, and bring an exercise mat. For cooler days, you may want to bring a throw.

Tai Chi Qi Gong in the Gardens: Experience the health benefits of movement and relaxation through Tai Chi Qi gong.
Instructor Bill Burnette will lead beginners and Tai Chi enthusiasts in the practice of Tai Chi Qi Gong in the serene and scenic Polasek sculpture gardens. Through an ancient Chinese Method of gentle rhythmical movements and stretches: Learn and experience the health benefits of performing Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan: enhance flexibility, develop a new level of personal awareness, improve balance and coordination, increase your ability to de-stress and relax, enhance your vitality and well being. All classes will be held rain or shine. Wear comfortable clothing.

About the Albin Polasek Museum & Sculpture Gardens:
Founded in 1961, the Albin Polasek Museum & Sculpture Gardens holds an art collection focusing primarily on American representational sculpture, with over 200 works by Czech-born American sculptor Albin Polasek. The museum also offers guided tours of the historic Polasek residence and chapel, an outdoor sculpture garden and a gift shop. The museum is the retirement home of 2004 Florida Artists Hall of Fame recipient Albin Polasek, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is one of only 32 members of the National Trust’s Historic Artists’ Homes and Studios.
