McCullough is recognized for the narrative 1776 and biographies John Adams and Harry Truman, as well as his recently published book, The Greater Journey: Americans in Paris. He will discuss how the fields of medicine, writing, art, technology and education were transformed by American leaders’ immersion in Parisian culture.
“Mr. McCullough is a spectacular storyteller and engaging speaker who reorients our understanding of American history,” said Gail Sinclair, executive director of Winter Park Institute at Rollins College. “We are fortunate to hear firsthand the inspiration and passion expressed in his stories.”
