Q: How are you doing?
A: We’re doing great!
Q: Have you been able to go exploring in Orlando yet?
A: We’ve been here many times. We know Orlando very well. It’s like a second city to us.
Q: So you guys just performed this afternoon. How did you feel about the performance?
A: It was great. It was early but it was a lot of fun and a great crowd for as early as it was.
Q: You guys have been on a fall tour with Kate Vogele and it’s almost the end. How has the tour been going?
A: It’s been awesome. Kate’s amazing. She’s a great singer/songwriter. Her crew is awesome. The crowds have been amazing, beyond our expectations.
Q: What have been some of the highlights of the tour?
A: Oh my gosh. Probably playing all our favorite cities and headlining again. Playing longer sets. We’ve had some few improv moments and some saxophone breakdowns.
Q: What do you like the most and the least about touring?
A: Best part is playing shows and the worst part is driving there.
Q: This past summer, you guys released The Way It Was. Fans seemed to really enjoy the album. What are your thoughts on the overall reaction from fans to the album?
A: It’s been great. Especially, now we’re headlining we can see the kids sing a lot to everything, not to just the singles or to the songs on the radio but to everything. That means it connected well as an album.
Q: What are your thoughts on how the band’s music has evolved since you guys first started?
A: We’re constantly growing as people and musicians so it’s natural to evolve and you grow stronger bonds with people you play with. And our taste in music has definitely matured over the years.
Q: What's the ultimate direction that you guys have for the band?
A: The ultimate direction is to take over the world and play in front of every-growing crowds.
Q: So it’s almost time for the holidays. What are your plans?
A: We’re going to be home for Thanksgiving and hopefully for Christmas. We’re going to hang out and take a little break.
Q: What are your plans for the next year or so as a band?
A: We’re going to tour, tour, tour.
Q: When you guys think about Orlando, what do you think about?
A: We think about hot, humid nights at The Social.
Q: To help end this interview is there anything else you would like to talk about?
A: We love Orlando. Orlando fans are the best. Straight up.
