A fun and unforgettable musical experience is how I will describe my weekend. I attended Orlando Calling Music Festival like thousands of others. Citrus Bowl Park became a five-stage playground for music lovers of rock, alternative, blues, country, hip-hop, folk and other genres. The Festival showcased major acts and talented emerging local bands. For example, I watched Kid Rock, The Killers, Pixies, Los Lonely Boys, Blake Shelton, Gavin DeGraw, Parachute and local band The Supervillains. Orlando Calling is what the diverse music lovers of Central Florida have needed for some time.
The inaugural Orlando Calling Music Festival may not have attracted as many people as the promoters would have liked, but for most attendees, Orlando Calling did not disappoint. There was a great genre-diverse line-up of acts, exceptional sound quality for an outdoor music festival and well-kept grounds. I have my fingers crossed for the return of Orlando Calling.
