On Saturday January 28, 2012, 11am-3pm, Hector “Nicer” Nazario will paint a mural of Roberto Clemente in conjunction with the History Center’s Beyond Baseball: The Life of Roberto Clemente exhibition from the Smithsonian,. Wilfredo "Bio" Feliciano will work with children from local elementary, middle, and high schools to paint three sections of the mural. This will take place in Heritage Square in front of the History Center (65 East Central Blvd., at the corner of Magnolia Ave., downtown Orlando). Parking is available in the Public Library parking garage on Central Blvd.
Wilfredo “Bio” Feliciano is considered to be one of the top stylists or letter masters throughout the graffiti art movement worldwide. Feliciano has painted all over the world and his work has been featured in many publications, movies, music videos, and documentaries. New York City artists Nazario and Feliciano are both founding members of the world-famous art collective known as Tats Cru, which continues to be a major force in the advancement of graffiti art both commercially and artistically. Feliciano has lectured at M.I.T. and various universities in the United States, and he was also part of the Smithsonian Institute’s 35th folklore festival in Washington, D.C., where Tats Cru was chosen to represent New York City muralists at the festival.
