The Parks & Recreation Department of the City of Winter Park is pleased to announce a Pool Grand Opening Celebration will be held on Saturday, April 7, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Winter Park Community Center located at
721 West New England Avenue.
The Winter Park Community Center, a 38,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility, was opened to the public in October 2011, when the outdoor temperatures were too cold to swim. Now that spring has arrived, the cool fun can begin at the multipurpose pool facility which includes a zero-depth entry, lap lanes, spray play with recreation area and changing rooms.
Festivities at the grand opening celebration will include a FREE underwater egg hunt for children of all ages. Swimmers are encouraged to arrive early to sign up for the underwater egg hunt and register for a recreation I.D.
