The ORANGE YOU GLAD Festival continues tonight with CULTS, SPECTRALS and MRS. MAGICIAN at Plaza Live.

After the difficult choices of Thursday, tonight there's only one "official" OYG show to look out for, and it's the excellent band Cults. Their self-titled album was one of my faves of 2011, and I've been looking forward to seeing them live for a long time. I love how relaxed their music is, but with strong hooks, palpable sadness and huge sweeping melodies.

Make sure you get there very early to see Spectrals, a project from 21 year old Louis Jones. His album 'Bad Penny' is short, but inventive and tuneful. Pitchfork is already on board, and this is a great chance for you to join them. And I don't know anything about Mrs. Magician, but they appear to be two white dudes, and I look forward to checking them out too.
