The ORANGE YOU GLAD Festival kicks off today, with various events happening in the Mills 50 neighborhood. Full details here.

Hooray! We're off and running. There'll be Festival related stuff going down at three different venues up and down Mills Avenue, and here are the highlights.

At Will's Pub, the dudes behind the website Everything Is Terrible! will be screening their new film 'DoggieWoggies! PoochieWoochiez!" Here's that they have to say about it:
With DoggieWoggiez! PoochieWoochiez!, EIT! has elevated their craft to new heights, creating a remake of Alejandro Jodorowsky’s 1973 Film, The Holy Mountain, using only dog-related found footage! After a grueling year of combing every Air Bud movie for something remotely worthwhile, the group is groomed and ready to tour the continent in homemade, full-body mascot costumes, delivering a psychedelic live show experience that can not be rivaled. This all-new “live in the fur” show picks up where Cirque Du Soleil and The Rock-A-Fire Explosion left off... finally. Oh yeah, and ARFFFF!
Sounds pretty crazy to me. Local dudes Telethon and Thee Wilt Chamberlain will be opening. I'll be there too.

Meanwhile, down the road at Substance, The Pauses will be bringing their multimedia extravaganza to the stage, along with a short film called 'Wholphin', as well as sets from A.T.T.I.C., Alexander and the Grapes, and Sleepy Vikings.

Finally, at Uncle Lou's, you can catch No Qualms, Centuries, Knife Hits and Grendel.

Going? Excited? Me too! This should be a great festival.
