Sheraton Lake Buena Vista Resort Re-Opens

 Sheraton Lake Buena Vista Resort (Facebook, Twitter, Website(800) 325-3535), unveiled a $25 million refurbishment during a ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday March 22, 2012). The property features fresh amenities including a new spa, new fitness center and new ballroom along with completely reinvented guestroom and family accommodations, restaurants, event facilities and common areas. Speakers included Sheraton Lake Buena Vista Resort General Manager Mark Politte, Managing Partner for Winston Harton Holdings Russ Flicker, Senior Vice President, Owner Relations and Franchise for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Lynne Dougherty and Visit Orlando Chief Marketing Officer Danielle Courtenay. 

“It is incredibly humbling to stand here and see our original vision become a reality, and we think Sheraton Lake Buena Vista Resort is a fantastic addition to the area for local residents and visitors alike,” said Flicker, who represents resort ownership.

At the center of the resort, 27 Palms Pool Club features two pools: The Falls is complete with a cascading waterfall and 79-foot water slide, and The Beach presents a zero entry pool with in-water umbrellas dotted among water jets, a youth wet deck and splash pad with in-pool water sprays and more. The area also features personal cabanas, a large fire pit and more than 250 deck chairs.

The resort features 490 completely revamped guestrooms, with new family accommodations with a separate bedroom and designer bunk beds. All common areas are completely renovated, and dining options include the new poolside 27 Palms Grill and Zest, the hotel’s citrus-infused signature restaurant and lounge. Springboard Marketplace is a new market and cafĂ© located in the lobby, and the new Top of the Palms Spa overlooks 27 Palms Pool Club and offers signature massages, palm frond wraps, facials and more. A new state-of-the-art fitness center and an on-site game room complete the transformation, along with approximately 20,000 square feet of high-tech meeting and event spaces including the new 7,000-square-foot Majestic Palm Ballroom. 

Located near Downtown Disney, the Walt Disney Good Neighbor® Resort provides free scheduled transportation to all nearby Walt Disney World theme parks and the ability for guests to purchase
