OCLS announces Center for Technology, Innovation & Creativity

Orange County Library System (OCLS) announced last week that it had received its largest ever single gift it its history - one million dollars from the Kendrick B. Melrose Family Foundation. That money will go towards creating The Dorothy Lumley Melrose Center for Technology, Innovation & Creativity. As OCLS says in its newsletter:
The Center, which will be housed on the second floor of the Main Library, will feature labs for visual arts and filming, digital media, graphic design, and audio engineering. A fabrication lab is also planned for The Center. With gratitude, Library Director and CEO Mary Anne Hodel pointed out that is the largest single private gift in the library’s history.
This sounds like a fantastic addition to the downtown Library, and we can't wait to see it!
