Touring internationally since 2008, “Play Me, I’m Yours” is an artwork by British artist Luke Jerram. Over 500 pianos have now been installed in cities across the globe, from New York to Sydney, bearing the simple instruction ‘Play Me, I’m Yours’.
The 2011 Sing for Hope Pop-Up Pianos, inspired by British artist Luke Jerram, was the world’s largest street piano installation to date, and reached over two million people. From June 18 to July 2, performances took place on the pianos by members of our Volunteer Artist Roster – including Broadway stars, local songwriters, and ballerinas. These individuals share one thing: a desire to give back through their art, and to unite artists with their local communities.
