Mayor Buddy Dyer and District 4 City Commissioner Sheehan were supposed to do a work along today to install swan feeders, but due to rain, it was postponed. Instead, the two released two new swans into their new home at Lake Eola Park this morning at 10am. The swans, named Paul and Chris Jean, are male and female Black Neck Swans.
The swan feeders, to be installed at a later date, will aid in providing the correct food for guests to feed the swans with. Feeding swans and other water fowl the wrong food can make them sick, cause diseases like Angel Wing and even result in death.
