We accepted an invitation from IKEA Orlando last week to take a guided tour and be shown the changes they've made to several of their departments. Below are photos from that tour from last week.
Dishes now easier to see
More product on shelves, more "on display" than before
All their sheets hang in one spot for you to see and touch
Their bathroom offerings quadrupled in size
The fabric has more hanging room to show off the patterns better
And as always, the fabric is cut-it-yourself
Random shot: these pillows are haunting
Bags bins now have a hook so you can see a hanging bag and find the bins easier
New layout for rug department
More recycling bins
These would be great in walkable areas. Maybe if you use a laundromat?
The lighting area really puts more product on display
Cardboard pallets are now being used with some products
Each bulb will now have at least one lit so you can see it in action
Again, the lighting department is fabulous.
