History Center Launches Corporate Networking Series

The Orange County Regional History Center (65 East Central Blvd., at the corner of Magnolia Ave., downtown Orlando) is launching a corporate networking series Tuesday, August 21, 2012, 5:30-7:30pm. Drinks and hors d'oeuvres will be served in their historic 1927 courtroom, and speakers will discuss topics that are relevant to businesses.

Local businesses will hear speaker William Seyfried, Ph.D., discuss the current state of our economy in our first corporate networking event. A Rollins MBA Professor of Economics, Seyfried currently serves on the Econometrics Council of the Florida Chamber Foundation and was previously on the Governor's Council of Economic Advisors for the state of Arkansas. He is an expert in the areas of macroeconomics, including the Fed and monetary policy, as well as on the interaction of the financial system with the economy. Seyfried has been published in various journals and textbooks and is regularly quoted in the media as an expert on economics. Seyfried will speak briefly at 6:30 p.m.
