The Food Truck Bazaar Heads Back to Mount Dora

The Food Truck Bazaar (AboutTwitterFacebookis visiting Mount Dora again September 27, 2012, 5:30-8:30pm at 4th Avenue and Alexander Street in downtown. This event occurs thanks to a partnership with the Mount Dora Area Chamber of Commerce, City of Mount Dora and Visit Mount Dora. Along with 15 food trucks selected for Mount Dora by The Food Truck Bazaar, visitors can expect the following:

  • Tables and chairs will be set up in Dora Drawdy Alley and Child’s Park. 
  • The Silver Notes from Lady Lake will be performing on the patio of the Chamber of Commerce
  • Lake Cares Food Pantry “canstruction” project, a three dimensional replica of the Lighthouse, a palm tree, turtle and alligator made from 15,966 food products representing the number of individuals who received food from the pantry last year. The project is located in the Main Street Leasing offices on the corner of 5th Avenue and Donnelly Street in downtown.
  • The Chamber of Commerce will provide and staff a special Mount Dora information tent at the corner of 4th Avenue and Alexander Street during the event. They will be there to answer questions about the City, its shops, restaurants and the many activities Mount Dora offers throughout the year. Items available will include calendars of events, maps of the downtown as well as discount coupons and special offerings for attendees of the event.

The Food Truck Bazaar (About, Twitter, Facebook) is a large-scale traveling food truck event that travels from city to city in Central Florida each month bringing with it a nighttime foodie heaven for three hours each stop.
