Wicked Stars and Orlando Philharmonic Team Up

This October, two Broadway veterans and stars of the musical WICKED, Alli Mauzey and Nicole Parker, join the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra for a concert of favorites from Wicked, Chicago, Phantom of the Opera, and more on Saturday, October 13 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. at Bob Carr Performing Arts Centre (401 W. Livingston St, Orlando). The concert, “Wicked Divas” will be performed. Tickets are $17-70, available online or at 407-770-0071.

Alli Mauzey starred as Glinda in the final San Francisco company and Broadway company of Wicked in 2009. Other Broadway credits include the love-crazed Lenora in the new musical Cry-Baby, for which she won the Theatre World Award and was nominated for a Drama League Award.

Nicole Parker starred as Elphaba in Wicked in 2009. This past spring, she created the role of Red in The People in the Picture with Donna Murphy on Broadway. She has also appeared in Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me.

Under the direction of guest conductor and former Orlando Philharmonic Principal Pops Conductor Andrew Lane, the October 13 concert marks the beginning of the Orlando Philharmonic’s 2012-2013 Pops Series at Bob Carr Performing Arts Centre.
