Winter Park Autumn Art Festival 2012

The Winter Park Autumn Art Festival (Facebook, Twitter) returns for its 39th year Saturday, October 13 and Sunday, October 14, 2012, 9am - 5pm. At its permanent home in Central Park, located along beautiful Park Avenue, the Winter Park Autumn Art Festival is the only juried fine art show with the tradition of showcasing Florida artists exclusively. Complimentary valet parking is available at three locations in downtown Winter Park and a free shuttle service from near the Winter Park Village is also available.

From over 350 applications, 150 Floridian artists were selected in eight different categories including ceramics, drawings and graphics, fiber, fine crafts, jewelry, painting, photography and sculpture. Prize money awarded by festival judges in 2012 will exceed $16,000.

The festival will also be part of the City of Winter Park’s 125th anniversary weekend. On Saturday, October 13 at 11 a.m., Mayor Ken Bradley will join the festival festivities at Central Park Stage to mark the occasion and serve a large birthday cake, while supplies last. Throughout the festival, attendees will be able to enjoy live musical entertainment, children’s activities led by instructors from The Crealdé School of Art and a beer garden. The event is free and open to the public both days from 9am-5pm.
