December 1 and 2 will be the 13th Annual Crealdé Holiday Sale. Established and emerging Central Florida artists will exhibit their arts and crafts on the campus of Crealdé (600 Saint Andrews Boulevard, Winter Park, Florida 32792) between 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Saturday and 11:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Sunday. The sale will include a number different unique art gifts including pottery, sculpture, paintings, jewelry, and prints.
Enjoy browsing and light refreshments on the beautiful Crealdé campus along the shores of Lake Sterling. Part of the proceeds help support Crealdé’s facilities and many community programs. While there make sure visit the Showalter Hughes Community Gallery and see the photographs in Storytellers XV: Parramore, Our Home, and in the Alice & William Jenkins Gallery, explore the fantastic artwork in Keeping Haiti In Our Hearts. A second selection of the Haiti exhibition is on display at the Hannibal Square Heritage Center through January 5.
Crealdé School of Art is a community based non-profit arts organization established in 1975. It features a year-round curriculum of over 100 visual arts classes for students of all ages, two galleries, the Contemporary Sculpture Garden, and award-winning outreach programs. Crealdé’s second campus, the Hannibal Square Heritage Center, opened in 2007 in partnership with the City of Winter Park as an extension of Crealdé’s community programs. Through a unique, award-winning installation of historic photographs and oral histories, changing exhibitions and programs with a focus on local history and cultural preservation, the center pays tribute to contributions of Winter Park’s historic African American community.
