Now in its fifth year, Art Asia is a highly selective showcase of best of established and emerging contemporary artists from throughout Asia. While the show during Art Basel Miami Beach 2012 had many stunning pieces, the ones we call "haunting" caught our eye and seemed to be in great number.
The works seemed to leave the viewer unsettled and uncomfortable. Or at least us. A theme of emptiness and loneliness permeated the entire show because of these pieces.
