Church Street is undergoing a recent redevelopment, with many plans in the works and remodels taking place.
The first to open is Eternal Tap.
The 3,100 sq ft food and drink establishment continues the Orlando craft beer trend with 51 craft beers on tap and over 100 in bottles.
The tap selection is impressive: brands from breweries in Orlando, Tampa, and Jacksonville are included.
A brick fire pizza oven provides the bulk of their basic pizza-based menu, which will also include bread sticks and pretzels.
Pool Tables and custom seating arrangements with checkers and chess boards are spread throughout the space.
The 350sq ft basement has been fully updated and will now function as a speakeasy-themed whiskey room.
Jeremy Roberts, President of Eternal Tap, said that the twenty televisions placed throughout the space will feature sporting events with a local team focus. A unique feature, similar to what London and New York bars do occasionally, is that he may eventually offer live musical feeds from in-town venues.
Roberts said that the brand may eventually expand but for now this location is the central focus. He did make sure to emphasize that if and when they do expand to open other Eternal Taps each will have a unique feel that can't be replicated. The Church Street location features many items that are unique to the space like antique wood door fridges and the aforementioned speakeasy-themed basement.
Outside, the lounge offers a small patio with overhang, it's own fireplace and a location right along the tracks of the future SunRail, directly from the coming station.
Eternal Tap's soft opening has been going on for a few nights now. The official Grand Opening is December 19, 2012. They will be open 7 days a week 3pm - 2am.
