Less than a week ago Orlando has zero fashion trucks, now we have two! On Sunday we shared pictures of the official launch of Orlando's first Fashion Truck, Lollipops & Pistols, launched at the Fashion Square Mall Food Truck Bazaar.
The whole fashion truck trend is something we love and have been covering for awhile now. We first started talking about fashion trucks more than a year and a half ago. Since then we've been covering each step that Lollipops & Pistols took as they brought to realization Orlando's very own, very first fashion truck. In February we also shared an interview with one of Los Angeles Le Fashion Truck (in which they noted that L.A. had approximately 8 trucks as of January 2012). Also in February Orlando's Brink Magazine had a great interview (on page 31) with one of NYC's fashion truck, aptly named The Fashion Truck.
Today we now officially have two fashion trucks in Orlando with the launch of Rollin Boutik. I found it the corner of Orange Ave and Jefferson St in downtown while out running errands this afternoon. The truck is actually a converted luxury bus. It features two air conditioned (!) rooms and tons of vintage clothing and accessories. The owner shared that she has her girlfriends from all over the country always on the hunt to help her find the most unique and exciting clothing. She has them shipping in from New York, Boston, and Los Angeles for her to stock the bus with. The bus is hard to miss and is by far the largest fashion truck I've ever seen, that means more room for more stuff. Just check out how big that shoe section is! This truck seemed larger than some actual shoppes I've been too.
And then there was two!
As soon as Rollin Boutik has a website we'll make sure to link it in our Orlando Fashion Truck page. Till then just keep an eye out for the bright blue bus around downtown.
